Rico Rodriguez is getting revved up once more, with Just Cause 4 now on a collision course with December.
This outing is set in the fictional South American world of Solis, and if you thought that previous episodes brought the destruction, it seems that we ain’t seen nothin’ yet (b-b-b-b-b-b-baby).
How much bigger is this one? We’re talking tornadoes, blizzards and other extreme weather events wreaking further havoc through the main areas of rainforest, grasslands, alpine and desert.
Rico’s still kitted out with parachute, wingsuit and grapple hook, but they’ll now be fully customisable and have new enhancements.
“We’ve taken everything that players loved from our previous games and with brand new features, enhanced physics and core gameplay improvements, we’ve created the most ambitious Just Cause experience to date,” said Francesco Antolini, the game director at Avalanche Studios. “The introduction of extreme weather is a complete game changer – players will not have seen anything like this in a video game. We have created fully physicalised tornadoes, blizzards, sandstorms and torrential downpours which affect gameplay in a very real way. All of this is now possible thanks to our brand new Apex engine.”
Just Cause 4 is set to smash onto PS4 and Xbox One on December 4.
Not enough Rico for you up top? Well, why not pop behind the scenes of Just Cause 4 just below?
