Thank you, misleading headline department. To state it more clearly, the follow-up to creepy adventure Man of Medan will be The Dark Pictures: Little Hope.
It was kind of hard to resist though – much like Man of Medan, which, despite having a rather unlikeable cast of potential ghost ship fodder, delivered a captivatingly creepy time.
This follow-up will eschew the sea in favour of a classic ghost town scenario: “Trapped and isolated in the abandoned town of Little Hope, four college students and their professor must escape the nightmarish visions that relentlessly pursue them through an impenetrable fog. As they journey through the town looking for a means of escape, they must understand the meaning of these events, the root of the evil, and how it is directly connected to them!”
There’s sort of a trailer for it below, which is really a bunch of streamers reacting in silly ways to (and spoiling bits of) the first game, before a brief introduction to Little Hope around the 2:05 mark if you wish to skip straight to it. Which we kind of recommend, to be honest:
The Dark Pictures: Little Hope is scheduled to arrive sometime this Australian winter.
