You may have already heard the term ‘Optimised for Xbox Series X’, now Xbox have given us more detail about what it will mean for gamers.
Essentially it will apply to new, native Xbox Series X games, as well as Xbox One games that, when played on the upcoming Xbox Series X, will harness the full power of the machine and be markedly improved – and at no extra cost.
This might mean vastly improved graphics, “virtually eliminating” loading times or better frame rates – or all of the above.
Existing and upcoming games confirmed to be ‘Optimised for Xbox Series X’ so far include Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Bright Memory Infinite, Call of the Sea, Chivalry 2, Chorus, Cyberpunk 2077, Destiny 2, Dirt 5, FIFA 21, Gears 5, Halo Infinite, Hitman 3, Madden NFL 21, Marvel’s Avengers, Outriders, Scarlet Nexus, Scorn, Second Extinction, The Ascent, The Medium, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 and Yakuza: Like a Dragon.
Here’s a quick summary of the above in visual form:
