If the sprawling Red Dead Redemption II experience isn’t cowboy enough for you, the beta for Red Dead Online may be the ticket – and it starts tomorrow.
Red Dead Online is set to blend the classic multiplayer of the original Red Dead Redemption with “the best of everything” that Rockstar have learned since about creating deep multiplayer experiences.
Rockstar claim that the result is something “completely new and fun, and an experience that will continue to expand and evolve over time as we gain valuable feedback from our community in the beta period”.
The Red Dead Online beta will eventually be available to anyone who owns Red Dead Redemption II on either PS4 or Xbox One. As of December 1 (and following an update, we guess), you’ll see an option in the top right of the title menu to select “Online”.
Before then, however, there’ll be an early access period starting tomorrow (Wednesday, November 28) at 00:30am AEDT.
The access rollout goes a little something like this:
– Wednesday, November 28: All Red Dead Redemption II: Ultimate Edition owners
– Thursday, November 29: All players who played Red Dead Redemption II on October 26 (according to Rockstar’s data)
– Friday, November 30: All players who played Red Dead Redemption II between October 26 and October 29 (according to Rockstar’s data)
– Saturday, December 1: All players who own Red Dead Redemption II
