It’s been hailed as possibly the best Assassin’s Creed yet, and if you’re after more to do in Origins then your pleas have been heard with The Hidden Ones.
It’s the first major DLC expansion for the game, and it’s available from today both as a separate addition, or for free to those who’ve already laid down shekels for the season pass.
Set years after the birth of the Brotherhood, Bayek is called to the Sinai Peninsula to investigate a clash between a rebel faction and occupying Roman forces. While he seeks to bring peace, our hero must shape the code that will one day be known as the Assassin’s Creed.
While this first expansion adds a mission that takes you deeper into the story of the Brotherhood’s formation, it also gives Bayek a higher level cap (45) and new gear. You’ll explore a new region in the Sinai and Red Sea, while finding new legendary weapons with special attributes and receiving snazzy new outfits and mounts.
Even if you don’t drop bucks on The Hidden Ones, some new free stuff is available for all via the latest game update, which hit last week. There’s a new prelude to The Hidden Ones quest, an update to the Heka chests item pool and the option to flog off outfits at weaver shops.
Here’s a more visual summation of what The Hidden Ones is about…
