Crazy-fun soccer-meets-Matchbox-cars sports assault Rocket League is about to turn two, and players are getting the pressies.
First up, the Anniversary Update – which is due on July 5 – features a free new ‘Champions Field’ arena, a modern-looking stadium that will be available in Competitive, Casual and Private matches.
The update will also see the end of season four competition with releavnt awards doled out, and the start of ‘Competitive Season 5.’
Want some more tunes to accompany the action? Sure! Rocket League Radio will add 18 new songs from record label Monstercat, including tracks by bands such as Tokyo Machine, Rogue and Slushii.
If all of that isn’t enough, there’ll also be new trophies/achievements and two battle cars added to the roster – the Animus GP and Centio V17. They’ll be available exclusively as drops inside the new ‘Overdrive Crate’.
We haven’t finished though! A bunch of new customisation options are coming, including tweaking with engine sounds, goal explosions and car trails. These will be a mix of free stuff and crate drops.
Here’s a sneak peek to help you get excited…
