Ubisoft’s upcoming space epic Starlink: Battle for Atlas boldly goes back to the toys to life model, and we’re pretty excited for it.
Mind you, we also have a cupboard full of Disney Infinity, Skylanders and LEGO Dimensions toys.
This one is kind of a mashup of the latter two, tasking players with choosing a pilot and a spacecraft – then snapping bits and pieces on and off their ship to increase or alter its abilities.
As for the game itself, it’s an open world space saga that sees each real world change instantly appear in-game, as you lead a heroic team of interstellar pilots to free the Atlas star system from the Forgotten Legion.
The starter pack will include the game, a starship, a pilot, a variety of weapons, the Starlink controller mount and a poster, and we many add-ons will be available separately.
While heading for the PS4 and Xbox One, the Switch version (above) has us the most excited, as it features somebody that anybody with a love of Nintendo will be quite familiar with – Fox McCloud. He’ll be able to pilot the classic Arwing, along with special weaponry and exclusive missions featuring some familiar Star Fox/Starwing faces.
