An esports league for aspiring esports pros, the Contenders League is a pathway for those looking to make their way in the world of Overwatch esports.
It’s essentially a semi-pro league, and Australia is the latest to join the ranks, with eight teams already confirmed:
- Kings GC
- Your Name Here
- Masterminds GC
- Kanga Esports
- Alter Ego
2018 will host three contenders seasons, with a total local prize pool of USD$150,000 available each year. The Contenders League gives players the chance to be noticed by the larger teams, and potentially drafted.
The Australian Overwatch Contenders leagues kicks off March 12 at 2pm AEDT live on Twitch.
