Esports gets bigger and bigger every year, and 2017 is no exception.

This year it seems everywhere you look on the show floor at PAX Aus there’s esports fanfare. Whether you’re walking past the Twitch booth and chatting to your favourite content creators, stopping by the MSY booth and checking out their latest setups, or even standing out the front of the Cooler Master booth gawking at their amazing PlayerUnknown’s BattleGrounds PC case mod, there’s something for everyone in the esports market.

There are not one, but two competitive gaming stages (not including the League of Legends and CS: GO tournaments that seem to be everywhere), and there’s even a dedicated merch stand out the back where you can grab jerseys and other items from Cloud9, Immunity and the rest.

There’s no better way to immerse yourself and familiarise yourself with the Australian esports scene than by simply jumping straight in. Talk to some players and some streamers, and go to some panels, and find out what it really takes to turn gaming into a livelihood.
