Razer’s new Blade gaming laptop is the smallest on the market, coming in at 15.6″.
We had a brief hands-on with the new laptop at an event earlier in the month, and can confirm it is indeed quite small. If you find that the usual 17″ gaming laptops are a bit on the larger side, and you like your keyboard backlit and with 16.8 million colour combinations, the new Blade might be your calling.
As mentioned above, the new Razer Blade has a 15.6″ screen and is only 0.66″ thick, and weighs just over 2kgs – much lighter than some of the bulkier gaming laptops on the market, making it perfect for taking on the go.
Don’t let its size fool you, though. The new Blade packs a decent punch, featuring an 8th Gen Intel Core™ i7-8750H Processor, and is available in either Full HD or 4K screen options. They also come equipped with either an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or 1070 graphics card, and 16GB of DDR4 memory upgradeable to 32GB.
They’ve upgraded the touchpad, and the screen is almost bezel-less, allowing for an immersive experience no matter what you choose to play. The laptop supports output on up to three screens, and also features three USB 3.1 ports.
Australian pricing is yet to be announced. If you’ve been on the lookout for a new laptop with glowy lights and one that’s portable to take with you whilst still packing a punch power wise, you might want to consider the 2018 Blade.
