We’ve been drip-fed the list of games to feature on the upcoming shrunken SEGA Mega Drive for a while now, but we finally have the complete list of 42 titles (yep, they’ve added two extras) that will be included.

There’s a pleasing variety of first and third party games (whatever happened to the second party?), along with several licensed properties. Blocky classic Tetris numbers amongst the latest titles added. The full list goes a lot like this:

Sonic the Hedgehog
Ecco the Dolphin
Castlevania: The New Generation
Space Harrier 2
Shining Force
Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine
ToeJam & Earl
Comix Zone
Altered Beast
Gunstar Heroes
Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse
World of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck
Thunder Force III
Super Fantasy Zone
Shinobi III
Streets of Rage 2
Earthworm Jim
Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Probotector
Landstalker
Mega Man: The Wily Wars
Street Fighter II: Special Champion Edition
Ghouls ‘n Ghosts
Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle
The Story of Thor
Golden Axe
Phantasy Star IV: The End of the Millennium
Sonic the Hedgehog Spinball
Vectorman
Wonder Boy in Monster World

Tetris
Darius
Road Rash II
Strider
Virtua Fighter 2
Alisia Dragoon
Kid Chameleon
Monster World IV
Eternal Champions
Columns
Dynamite Headdy
Light Crusader

That pretty much covers most of the favourites, with a few more intriguing choices thrown into the mix as well.

Like similar releases from other companies, as the name suggests the SEGA Mega Drive Mini will be a shrunken replica, coming in at 55 per cent the size of the original first (and best) Mega Drive model.

The SEGA Mega Drive Mini is set to launch on September 19, at $139. This will include two replica three-button USB Mega Drive controllers, a USB to Micro-B power cable and an HDMI cable.
