Sonic’s two racing outings on last-gen consoles were the best track-based things this side of Mario Kart, and great news is that the spiky blue speedster and his SEGA pals are set to hit the karting circuit again in Team Sonic Racing.
It’s set to hit towards our Spring, and will offer both offline and online challenges. Like Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing and its follow-up, Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed, you’ll be able to select from a variety of classic SEGA characters and race around tracks themed on classic SEGA games.
Those forerunners were developed by British racing game experts Sumo Digital, and this one’s coming from them as well. They’re the same people who gave us the magnificent Forza Horizon 3 (which we’re still playing feverishly), so we’re expecting big – and fast – things.
Team Sonic Racing will be playable at E3, and we can guarantee that we’ll be first in line to play it! Stay tuned for all of STACK’s full-on E3 coverage.
