The Game Awards have come and gone again, and as usual there were some cool reveals and new trailers.

While Xbox naming and showing off the Xbox Series X – the console formerly known as Project Scarlett – was the biggest news for most, there was plenty of other stuff to get excited about.

Here are the top ten things that excited us most:

Godfall: A Gearbox PS5 launch release – yes, it’s getting more real all the time – that they describe as a “third-person fantasy looter-slasher”…

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II: Crossing back to the other side, Xbox revealed this hot Series X launch title from Ninja Theory, featuring all in-engine footage…

Ghost of Tsushima: After a tease last week, we saw a longer trailer for the upcoming Sucker Punch game, featuring a mix of cinematics and gameplay…

Prologue: A tease for the new Playerunknown game told us basically nothing at all about it. But hey, we like the sound of storms…

No More Heroes III: Suda51’s latest, a Switch exclusive, looks suitably – and gloriously – bonkers…

Final Fantasy VII: Remake: A new trailer dropped…

Bravely Default II: Another Switch exclusive, this is the third in the series. Ah, naming conventions…

Humankind: Looking much like Civilization on steroids, we got a new look at this forthcoming PC world-building experience…

Maneater: Hungry Shark World goes off the rails in this unrelated – but similarly themed – action adventure which sees sharks trying to even up the bodycount with humans…

Fast & Furious Crossroads: Before you groan because movie tie-in, the Slightly Mad Studios team – those who gave us the Project CARS series – are behind this wild-looking ride that reminds us a little of the awesome Split/Second… just with added Dom.
