As you likely know by now, E3 is online this year, officially kicking off Sunday. As always a few exciting new game reveals have sneaked in beforehand.
Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest 2021 got things in motion – the irony of the name noted by many of us in the southern hemisphere who are freezing our bits off!
This launched in style with the reveal of a new “high fantasy” game from Gearbox starring Borderlands‘ Tiny Tina, even though it’s apparently not a Borderlands canon game (but still looks very shooty). Entitled Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, voice artist Ashly Burch (Horizon Zero Dawn, the Mythic Quest TV series) as the titular star, alongside big names such as Will Arnett, Andy Samberg and Wanda Sykes.
Those into herding dinosaurs will be rapt to know that management simulation Jurassic World Evolution 2 was announced, by none other than Mr Jeff Goldblum himself.
Than Hideo Kojima appeared, announcing Death Stranding: Director’s Cut, which is coming to PS5 and will be delivered later this year.
If you enjoyed running your Two Point Hospital from SEGA then you’ll be jazzed about the announcement of its sequel, Two Point Campus, which, as the name alludes, involves running a university.
Koch media announced the very welcome Payday 3, and an RTS take on Crossfire entitled Crossfire: Legion, plus they’re also working on a new entry in the Painkiller franchise and several new IPs. These form part of their new label Prime Matter.
