A new attachment is inbound for the PS4 DualShock controller, adding programmable buttons.
The gizmo – officially known as the DualShock 4 Back Button Attachment – plugs into the port at the bottom of the controller, with a pass-through for the headphone socket.
Most importantly, it adds two programmable triggers at the back of the DualShock, which can have any of 16 different functions – plus, they provide tactile feedback. In the middle of the device is a wee OLED screen, which acts as both a button for selection and tells you what your triggers are programmed as. Up to three profiles can be saved.
It’s set to arrive on February 14, 2020, with an Australian price of $49.95.
