Tunes are important in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy generally, and they’re definitely a big player in the upcoming game.

It isn’t just the licensed stuff, used as part of the actual gameplay via Peter Quill’s Walkman, either. While we can expect to hear a bunch of 1970s and ’80s bangers from the likes of Hot Chocolate, Blondie, KISS, Gary Numan, Joan Jett, Wham!, Culture Club, Iron Maiden, Bonnie Tyler and Rick Astley, there’s a lot more to the score.

This includes a full orchestral soundtrack, recorded at the esteemed Abbey Road Studios no less, and a whole album from fictional band Star-Lord, after which, of course, Pete named his superheroic alter ego.
