Want a whopperous (erm?) 15 minutes of 2XP in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4? You’ll score it if you pop into Hungry Jack’s and grab one of their ‘Black Whoppers’.

Mercifully not one of those horrid-looking black bun creations, it looks just like a normal Whopper to us. They could have at least drowned the thing in tomato sauce…

But their marketing people have given it a less than normal name, at least in the way that they spell it out: BLACK whOPPER. Which kind of loses the “op” in the middle, which you’d think would be the bit they want to highlight.

Those who respect the English language, please, have a tissue on us.

Apparently both Activision and Hungry Jack’s thought-showered an actionable sweet spot and found a synergy in shooting stuff and hamburgers.

“Our millennial customers love gaming and burgers,” Hungry Jacks’ CMO, Scott Baird, says rather condescendingly. “Which is why the BLACK whOPPER is the perfect partnership. We are excited to give our customers an Australian first by adding free 2XP with our famous Whopper burgers.”

Apparently the codes are stackable, so if you want to scarf lots and lots of Whoppers then you’ll get lots and lots of 2XP time.

Have fun storming the castle!
