Ubisoft’s Forward presentation has just finished up, giving all of us a look at what they have in store for eager gamers.

A new Assassin’s Creed game is always a big and much-anticipated event, and a deeper look at the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Valhalla didn’t disappoint. Plus, a release date was unveiled – November 17 for PS4 and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X available at their respective launches.

Another Ubisoft title that has had us hyped, especially after a hands-on at last year’s E3, is the politically-charged, London-set Watch Dogs: Legion. After a couple of delays it now has a release date, and it isn’t too far away – October 29 on PS4 and Xbox One, also with PS5 and Xbox Series X incarnations available at the launch of each console.

We were promised the odd surprise, and sure enough Ubisoft delivered with the announcement of Far Cry 6. This one will have us joining a guerrilla revolution in order to bring down a despotic leader – played by Giancarlo ‘Gus Fring’ Esposito (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul). It’s slated for a February 18, 2021 release on PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4 and Xbox One.

Also announced was the commencement today of an open beta for the new PC-based open battle royale experience Hyper Scape.

Owners of several already available Ubisoft games will also be feeling the love in coming months. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint is set to receive a free update on July 15, which amongst various goodies will include AI teammates for single players. This is in addition to the reward-laden Resistance! limited event that starts a day later on July 16 and runs until July 29.

Racing experience The Crew 2 is celebrating its second birthday, with possibly the most exciting news being the ’80s invasion, spearheaded by the classic DeLorean.

Speaking of the ’80s, dig this trailer for Just Dance 2020, which is adding three new songs and bringing back three classics on July 23:

Finally – for now, as another Ubisoft Forward is promised for later in the year – fans of Trials Rising need to get set for the longest track yet, as the “Gigatrack” hits on July 16.
