While Activision don’t have a stand at this year’s E3, they’re still very much present via various other means – including a massive banner for a certain smash hit shooter franchise.
They have two big new titles on their list of forthcoming games, plus the return of a favourite to a new format.
The most imminent release will excite both racing and classic PlayStation fans, being, of course, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. A fully remade take on the original Crash Team Racing combined with the best of its follow-up, Crash Nitro Kart, it’s heading to PS4, Xbox One and Switch on June 21 – and it’s scheduled to receive updates with free new tracks, unlockable characters, karts and various customisation items. Find out a lot more about it here.
The biggest of the big from Activision this year, however, is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The title may be familiar, but the game is an all-new take on the modern era-set shooter series. Scheduled for release on October 25 for PS4 and Xbox One, read more about it right here.
Also on its way is a Switch version of last year’s return to the world of another PlayStation classic character, Spyro the Dragon. Yes, the Spyro Reignited Trilogy is heading to Nintendo’s portable/home console hybrid on September 4, having been a smash hit on the PS4 and Xbox One. Read our original review here.
Also still red hot – if you’ve the courage to face the challenge – is Activision’s release of FromSoftware’s Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. In true From tradition it’s making even hardened gamers turn to jelly, but those who have the fortitude to stick with it are raving. It’s available now for PS4 and Xbox One – read our review here.
