The Xbox + Bethesda Showcase 2022 has happened, with some cool announcements and looks at already much-anticipated future releases. Here are the highlights.

For many, the star of the show was the upcoming new Forza Motorsport. There’s still quite a wait – it’s due in our autumn next year – but what was shown off, a look at the updated Maple Valley, was certainly impressive.

In other Forza news, like it’s predecessor, Forza Horizon 5 will be getting a Hot Wheels expansion, launching July 19.

Looking a whole lot blockier – on purpose, of course – is new action strategy game Minecraft Legends. Also coming in 2023, players will be tasked with saving the Overworld from invading piglins.

Fans of Microsoft Flight Simulator are in for several treats as the series celebrates its 40th anniversary. An expanded edition is coming in November, including helicopters and gliders, plus a whole lot of other surprises. Meanwhile, an exclusive Halo Infinite Pelican is available today.

Microsoft’s partnership with Bethesda is set to deliver big time in the future, and we saw more of key title Starfield today. Here’s an extended look at gameplay for the massive title that’s now due sometime in 2023.

The other biggie from Bethesda is Redfall. From the people behind Dishonored and Prey, Arkane, this one’s a vampire adventure, and is also slated for release sometime in 2023. Here’s some gameplay to savour.

Fallout 76 is still plugging away, and another new content update expansion is due this September, to be known as The Pitt.

Overwatch 2 is set for an October 4 release, and a new trailer details how it’s going free-to-play.

Blizzard also showed off more Diablo IV, with two looks at the hotly-anticipated sequel that’s slated for a 2023 release.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is the next experience from Team Ninja, a dark fantasy Chinese martial arts historical tale that’s due early in 2023.

We got a look at Pentiment, which is on its way from The Outer Worlds people Obsidian. The medieval murder mystery is set to arrive this November.

Prepare for more dinosaur adventures with Vin Diesel in ARK 2, which is another one slated for release in 2023.

We’re not the only ones keen for A Plague Tale: Requiem, and new game footage hasn’t dampened our enthusiasm. While undated, it is due before this year is over.

In the “sometime in the future” department is exciting news that Death Stranding creator Hideo Kojima is working on “a completely new game that no one has ever experienced or seen before” that harnesses Xbox’s cloud technology. That’s about it for detail, but here he is telling us just that.
