Xbox Australia have just announced the games line-up for their PAX Australia stand. Oh, and there may be some sexy new hardware there, too…
That hardware is, of course, the Xbox One X. Billed as “the world’s most powerful console”, it may be smaller than the Xbox One S, but it packs a mean punch oomph-wise. PAX Australia visitors will be able to check it out a week before it’s officially released.
As well as already-out biggies like Forza Motorsport 7, the Xbox stand will feature some hot upcoming releases such as Sea of Thieves and Super Lucky’s Tale. There’ll also been an Antipodean developer presence, including Defiant Development’s Hand of Fate 2 and Grinding Gear Games’ Path of Exile.
Others on show will include PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Cuphead, Hello Neighbour, Ooblets, Strange Brigade, Robocraft Infinity, Black Desert and some older favourites like Rise of the Tomb Raider, Halo Wars 2, Killer Instinct and Minecraft.
Members of the Xbox international team will also be involved in sessions in the Wombat Theatre on Saturday, October 28. At 11am, Shannon Loftis (G.M. of Xbox Publishing) will join local industry experts for the ‘Women in Games in Australia’ panel, while Chris Charla (global head of ID@Xbox) will get together with some Australian developers to discuss all things indie in ‘The Power of the Modern Indie’ at 3pm.
PAX Australia runs from Friday, October 27 through to Sunday, October 29. We’ll be there, so stay tuned for a whole bunch of STACK coverage over the three days.
