With the much-anticipated action RPG Xenoblade Chronicles 2 launching this Friday, Nintendo have released, erm, a music video.
Actually, we shouldn’t be too surprised, as they did a similar thing for the release of game of the year contender Super Mario Odyssey.
Entitled Shadow of the Lowlands, this one – appropriately – goes for sweeping plains and mystical choral types, and is a gentle way to start your day. It’s kind of like Enya if she was cloned and then paired with The Ten Tenors.
In actuality, those singing are Irish chorus group Anúna. The game’s composer, Yasunori Mitsuda, has been a fan for many years and finally got to work with them here. As he puts it, “After 20 years, my dream came true through the making of the game Xenoblade Chronicles 2.”
