Set in the same universe, but not an actual Yakuza series game, Judgment is set to bring gritty detective work to the PS4.
Objection?! You’ll get none from us, as this looks like it will be a blast – as long as you don’t mind getting deep down and dirty as you delve into the goings-on of your various marks. This features everything from tailing to candid photography and, of course, kicking faces!
It’s known as Judge Eyes in Japan (which we think is a much cooler name), and great news is that once it hits the west, Judgment will offer a choice between the original Japanese voices and an English dub.
As for the game, players will step into the (gum) shoes of former lawyer Takayuki Yagami, who’s investigating the grisly murders of three Yakuza members, who each had their eyes removed. It’s all set in Kamurocho, which will be a familiar place to fans of the Yakuza games.
Judgment is currently slated for a June 25 release. Here’s a new look at some of the gameplay features in English:
