HyperX have finally dabbled in the wireless headset market, revealing their new HyperX Cloud Flight wireless gaming headset at CES 2018.
Straight out of the box, this headset practically screams comfort. There’s foam padding on the headband and earcups; the Flight comes exceptionally close to being the most agreeable headset we’ve ever used, and we’ve trialled a lot. This comes down to the padding that, even after six hours of wear, retains a comfortable fit.
HyperX have always been one of the industry leaders when it comes to the sound of their headsets, but having a wire running from your headset isn’t always convenient. The wireless Cloud Flights have opened the door into a whole new market for HyperX, introducing their loyal customers to the portability and reliability of the company’s wireless technology, without having to worry about a wired connection.
They’re plug and play – all you need to do is connect the USB dongle and you’re off. The Cloud Flights charge through an included USB cable, but you’ll get around 30 hours out of them (without LEDs on and at half volume); perfect for extended gaming sessions.
The HyperX Cloud Flights have a detachable mic so it’s easy to remove whenever you need, and on-ear controls that let you easily adjust the volume. They’re a great closed-back headset, and a most welcome addition to the HyperX family. The HyperX Cloud Flight wireless hits JB Hi-Fi February 2.
