In a livestream this morning, gaming peripheral company Razer have announced their entry into the mobile phone market.

According to the Verge, the specs are a 5.7-inch 1440p screen with a variable refresh rate, and 8GB of RAM with 64GB of expandable storage. It’s also equipped with dual front-facing, Dolby Atmos supported speakers.

Strangely, it doesn’t include a headphone jack, but the box does include an adapter. It’s essentially an Android phone, so it’ll run Nougat, and it’s reportedly sitting in the same price bracket as things like the Galaxy Note 8. Nothing has been announced as yet in regards to Australian availability.

As it is Razer‘s first entry into the mobile market, we really shouldn’t expect anything too groundbreaking, however you would expect some knowledge of the market and the omission of the headphone jack is honestly quite strange. We’ll let people make their own minds up.
