The website primarily known for its streaming services is starting a beta featuring pre-recorded video uploads.

The open beta will allow users to upload videos they have already recorded, allowing Twitch to become an even larger competitor to rival YouTube.

“When you upload a video, you don’t have to be on your toes, live on-stream,” according to a blog post. “Anyone can record and edit full game playthroughs, step-by-step tutorials, highlight reels, montages, or any other videos that now have a home on Twitch.”

Additionally, users will have the option to download previous streams and create edited videos of these playthroughs, opening the website up further to things like highlight reels and how-tos.
