With Watch Dogs 2 just over the horizon, Ubisoft has announced a Watch Dogs Film Festival, with huge prizes up for grabs.

Running from October 15 to November 15, participants will have the chance to upload videos with the ‘hacking heroes’ theme, for the chance to win cash and Ubisoft loot.

The jury deciding the winner of the contest is comprised of renowned director Louis Leterrier, brand content director on WD2 Thomas Geffroyd, and WD2 creative director Jonathan Morin.

The only rules surrounding submissions are that the film must be between five seconds and five minutes long, and it must involve a smartphone.

Once you’ve created your video, simply upload it to the competition website to be in the running. It’s that easy.

The prizes up for grabs are pretty sweet:

  • Grand Jury prize: 50 000€ (approx. $73,000 AUD) & 2 tickets for the Assassin’s Creed movie premiere
  • Jury “Coup de Coeur” prize: 10 000€ (approx. $14,600 AUD), 2 tickets for the Assassin’s Creed movie premiere, a PS4 Pro, the Watch_Dogs 2 – The Return of Dedsec Collector’s Case and, one Parrot Bebop 2 drone.
