The flagship 5G smartphone from Motorola features their most advanced camera system ever. It’s the rock-solid foundation that makes the Motorola Edge 20 Pro a standout device for all creators.

Ready for anything
We’re getting ever more sophisticated in our smartphone use, but Motorola is keeping up: the Edge 20 Pro 5G is designed for versatility. The smartphone is powerful enough to run as a desktop substitute for gaming, online meet-ups, video bingeing and office tasks. And to make things even easier, the Edge 20 Pro incorporates Motorola’s Ready For feature. It’s a clever function that allows the Edge 20 Pro to connect wirelessly to compatible devices, so that it can be used in multiple ways.

For example, Ready For Mobile Desktop lets the Edge 20 Pro run Windows apps via an external monitor and keyboard, just as if you were working on a PC.
Ready For Video Chatting can showcase your online meet-up on a compatible TV via Android Miracast, or a USB-C to HDM adaptor. And Ready For Gaming lets you play your favourite mobile games on a monitor, while also hooking up a supported Bluetooth controller for a console-like gaming experience.

Motorola’s most advanced camera system
The centrepiece of the Edge 20 Pro is its camera system. The rear assemblage consists of a 108MP primary camera, 16MP 119° ultra-wide angle, and 8MP with 5x optical telephoto. For context, a smartphone carrying the Pro designation and within the same price bracket is the Vivo X60 Pro 5G, and it has a 48MP primary camera.
The 5x optical telephoto on the Edge 20 Pro is also the kind of feature you find in the top-spec Apple 12 Pro. The Edge 20 Pro boasts 28 software features for the rear camera, including 50x Super Zoom, Auto Smile Capture and Google Lens integration – which uses AI to detect your camera subject, in order to offer up extra help or information.

Befitting a flagship model, you can also record 8K at 24fps via the primary camera. This all adds up to great flexibility, functionality and clarity when taking stills or shooting video content.

There are no compromises on selfies either, with a generous 32MP front camera matched with rich software feature set. This includes Dual Capture mode, which allows you to record with the front and rear cameras simultaneously – a very handy feature indeed for video content makers!

Flagship speed
The Edge 20 Pro has a 6.7”OLED display with 2400 x 1080 resolution. This provides an expansive 20:9 ratio, so Full HD (1920 x 1080) is well and truly covered. Further, the 144Hz screen refresh rate is amongst the best for smartphone models around this price point. A high refresh rate means a better experience, whether you are binge watching or just scrolling – and it’s especially crucial for gaming. Match it with a speedy touch latency (up to 576Hz), and you’ve got yourself a highly responsive mobile gaming device.
To achieve this fast screen refresh and deliver a flagship level of 5G performance, the Edge 20 Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 870 processor, newly released this year. It’s an upgrade on the Snapdragon 865, which you can still find in more pricey high-end gaming phones.
You’ll also get a generous 12GB of RAM and 256GB storage, plus a 4500 mAh battery for up to 34 hours of battery life. It comes with a 30W wired fast charger (nine hours of power from 10 minutes of charging). The Edge 20 Pro comes with the very latest Android 11, plus two full years of upgrades. There are two distinctive colours to choose from: Midnight Sky, and Indigo Vegan Leather.
The Motorola Edge 20 Pro is a device with all-round capabilities for work and fun; its high spec camera, 5G compatibility and wealth of software features makes it an attractive and affordable option for video content creators.
