A new addition to Garmin’s Vivomove hybrid smartwatch range, the Vivomove Sport combines a classic analogue watch aesthetic with a suite of essential smart features.
On the surface it’s a classy analogue watch complete with ticking hands, until a double tap on the face (or raising and rotating the wrist) reveals a hidden OLED touchscreen menu that provides access to essential smartwatch features, health and wellness tools – simply swipe left and right to scroll through them. It’s a very spy craft approach and one of the many things we love about the new Garmin Vivomove Sport.
This affordable, entry-level smartwatch is both fashionable and functional. It comes preloaded with 14 sports apps (including strength, cardio, lap swimming and more) and the important tools required to track health, fitness and wellbeing.
“All the key features are present and correct.”
All the key features are present and correct. There’s accurate wrist-based heart rate monitoring, respiration and hydration tracking, women’s health tracking, and all-day stress monitoring with relax reminders and mindful breathing exercises to take the edge off. The Pulse OX2 sensor spot checks blood oxygen saturation when exercising and sleeping, while ‘Body Battery’ energy monitoring flags the best times for activity and rest based on energy levels. Advanced sleep monitoring assesses light, deep and REM stages, as well as respiration and Pulse OX2 data.
Garmin has added a new ‘Safety and Tracking’ feature to the Vivomove Sport that will send your live location to emergency contacts when paired with a smartphone. You can do this manually or, if engaging in outdoor activities, automatically via the built-in incident detection tool. Peace of mind is part of the package.
The Vivomove Sport is compatible with both iOS and Android smartphones and must be paired to enable GPS tracking and smart notifications to your wrist. And when synced with the Garmin Connect app, your health and fitness data is collated and accessible in one place.
A 5ATM water resistance rating means the watch is good for pool swimming and shallow snorkelling, and you’ll get five days of battery life from a single charge, plus an additional day if only used in watch mode.
Designed for busy lifestyles, the Vivomove Sport will keep you healthy, on time, safe and stylish all at once.
The Garmin Vivomove Sport is available now in black or ivory.
