Designed for pair-and-play simplicity straight out of the case, Marshall’s Minor III wireless earbuds deliver great sound and vocal clarity for playlists and calls.
Marshall’s Minor III open-fit wireless in-ear headphones/earbuds combine an AirPod-like design with the key features you need to enjoy music on the move, as well as Bluetooth 5.2 support for faster pairing and a stronger connection up to 10m.
The Minor III’s stripped back functionality won’t suit users who like to obsessively tweak EQ settings, but there’s really no need to here. Packing custom-tuned dynamic 12mm drivers, the sound quality is consistently excellent for open fit headphones, whatever your favoured genre of music, with natural bass that doesn’t overwhelm and good mids and high-end.
Moreover, call quality is clear and natural sounding, and while there’s no noise cancelling feature, the microphones in each bud home in on your voice while effectively minimising any background noise.
Simplicity and convenience also extends to the intuitive touch controls for playback and taking/ending calls. Removing an earbud activates auto-pause, and you just reinsert it to engage auto-play. Tap twice to skip a track and three times to return to the previous one. It does pay to be aware of the high sensitivity of the touch response when adjusting the buds in-ear, so as not to end a call or track prematurely.
Battery life is good for 25 hours of playback time – five hours in the buds and four additional charges in the case, which sports the classic textured Marshall amp design and logo. The buds are fully charged after approximately 90 minutes, with two hours required to fully charge the case. And a quick 15-minute charge gives you an hour and a half of playback time.
Those looking for more customisation and control might want to consider the Marshall Mode II earbuds, but if simplicity of use and key features are all you require, the Minor III fits the brief and excels where it counts – the sound quality.
