Despite this, the band still remain true to their roots and haven’t softened their sound – only refined it. Theirs is a sound that is tailormade for the festival circuit, and Berserker is sure to destroy a number of stages in due time. Amon Amarth stick to what they know and know what will stick, so if you’re looking for an ambient, jazz-fusion freak out, then go elsewhere. Berserker is designed to get heads banging and fists in the air.
Berserker is out May 3 via Sony.
