Starfire 500 kicks things off and the first thing that’s apparent is how hi-fi the band have become since their first EP released back in 2016. The politically-charged Gacked on Anger directly addresses the injustices around the minimum wage, while GFY is a savage hit at lead singer Amy Taylor’s detractors.
Many may think that Amyl and the Sniffers are a one trick pony, but if this self-titled album proves anything, it’s that the band have plenty to say and are utterly uncompromising in their delivery.
Amyl & the Sniffers is out June 7 via Flightless.
