Chris Shiflett’s main job is playing rockin’ guitar for the Foo Fighters. He’s also been part of punk rock bands Me First & The Gimme Gimmes and No Use For A Name, a country music podcaster with Walking The Floor, and has released a couple of country albums as Chris Shiflett & The Dead Peasants.
With all that in his musical history, he seems to take it and blend it together in this, his second solo album, the follow-up to 2017 release West Coast Town.
Recorded at Nashville’s legendary RCA Studio A with in-demand producer Dave Cobb, Shiflett really lets loose. From flat-out rock to country rock and even a little honky tonk, he’s doing it all and making it work.
Hard Lessons is out June 14 via East Beach Records & Tapes/Thirty Tigers.
