This collection of 42 Kylie songs is definitive, alright. (Especially For You? Check.) All together now: “Remember the old daaaaays…”

Given ‘our’ Pop Princess was on track from day one with her chart-topping debut single The Loco-Motion (1987), her SAW era is aptly well-represented: I Should Be So Lucky, Better The Devil You Know, Shocked (Jazzi P’s ace rap in the bridge!). There’s also ample cool-London-Kylie cuts: Confide In Me, Can’t Get You Out Of My Head, and edgy Nick Cave duet Where The Wild Roses Grow.

Songs from Kylie’s latest, largely Nashville-recorded Golden record truly shine, and the closer, the Mylo-sampling New York City – a standalone banger – takes us right up to now. Wouldn’t Change A Thing.

Step Back In Time: The Definitive Collection by Kylie Minogue is out June 28 via Warner.
