Marina Love + FearShaped by a concept Marina Diamandis found while studying psychology, Love + Fear burrows past the pompous glamour of her previous records to get to the heart.

Love + Fear is a double album, but the sides aren’t clear cut. The newly mononymous Marina finds her throughline in an essential curiosity about self-doubt, ruin, and rapture.

Tracks that pose as heartbreak anthems turn themselves on their head, finding comfort among moments of pain. Rubbery evocations of hope and optimism reveal moments of anxiety. For someone who positions herself as an alien, Love + Fear is refreshingly holistic.

Love + Fear is out April 26 via Warner.
