To celebrate the 50th birthday of BBC Radio Sheffield, everyday folk from the birthplace of Pulp got together to record their own version of the classic Common People.

They even took to the Sheffield streets and recorded a video for it. Which looks a lot like this…

While it’s hardly an improvement on what some of us consider to be the greatest single of all time, it is a damned sight better than that horrid cover by William Shatner. Shudder!
