P!nk @ Brisbane Entertainment Centre, August 14, 2018.

Kicking off show number one of seven in Brisbane of the Beautiful Trauma Tour, thousands of fans waited anxiously for those pink curtains to drop at any time. Within the blink of an eye, there was our pop superstar P!nk, swinging from a chandelier and bursting straight into her smash hit Get the Party Started.
After an impressive, extended gymnastic display, the artist moved into the title track of her latest album Beautiful Trauma, and we got a glimpse of the stage production that was about to be unleashed: numerous fantastic dancers, backing singers and a full band – this will clearly be no ordinary show.
Revenge was a surprise to see in the setlist, yet you’ll hear no complaints for me; the ridiculously groovy track translates live so well. The performance opened with a claymation-styled video which was… interesting to say the least, not to mention the 20-foot tall blow-up Eminem that emerged from beneath the stage for his namesake’s verse. With a swift kick to his inflated face by P!nk, we were also treated to Funhouse, Just Like a Pill (for which the crowd went particularly ballistic), and an energetic cover of classic Nirvana track Smells Like Teen Spirit.
After a quick wardrobe change P!nk reentered the stage for Secrets, accompanied by a thrillingly raw and moving acrobatic performance. We were escorted through Just Like Fire by some beautiful pyrotechnics, as well as an absolutely jaw-dropping stage design featuring cascading tree branches and flares of yellow and orange.
The more contemplative section of the set included What About Us, Barbies and I Am Here, followed by the pulse-raising Raise Your Glass & Blow Me (One Last Kiss).
P!nk fans know what to expect from the woman’s encores, and she delivered 100 per cent. As the contagious riff of So What began, the superstar emerged completely harnessed up, and proceeded to hurl through a routine of swinging, flying and flipping all around the Brisbane Entertainment Centre – it gave me goosebumps.
With a very loud roar from the crowd, P!nk said thank you and goodbye… and we were already wishing we could relive this experience.
