Mariah Carey has inked a new record deal with Sony Music, with a new album expected later this year.
The pop superstar has renewed the exclusive joint partnership between her own Butterfly MC Records and Epic Records, a division of Sony Music. The new agreement will see her deliver additional repertoire to the label, starting with a new studio album, her highly anticipated follow-up to 2014’s Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse.
“I am putting my heart and soul into making more new music,” says Carey. “I am so thrilled for this next chapter and to continue working with, and for, everyone that I love.”
The most recent release from Carey was the DVD of her recent reality TV show Mariah’s World.
