BIGSOUND logoBIGSOUND – Australia’s festival/conference knees-up to celebrate the best in new, homegrown music – will be upon us in QLD’s Fortitude Valley from September 3-6, 2019. In the lead-up, we’re putting a few questions to the most promising names who’ll be performing. Click here to see more chats with the acts we think will own this year’s BIGSOUND!

LUBOKU

Luboku has been dubbed the ‘Aussie Jon Hopkins’ by Double J’s Zan Rowe; now, fans of vibrant dance hooks and innovative beats are finding their ears pulled towards the aural visions of this Melbourne artist.

What sets your music apart?

That’s hard to say – I think everyone has their own thoughts on what makes a particular artist’s music unique. For me, I focus a great deal on how my music sounds, and the different textures within my songs.

Which movie scene would your latest single suit?

I want to hint at something here: my next single would suit the 1982 Blade Runner ‘Replicant’ scene.

Give us your best useless fact – about yourself, or the world.

The Moon is 384399.86km away from the earth, on average. (Useless? Depends on who you ask).

What can we expect from you at BIGSOUND?

A dynamic house set – think Moderat, Rufus Du Sol, DARKSIDE.

Which BIGSOUND acts are you looking forward to seeing?

Mojo Juju, DVNA, LÂLKA, Dream Coast.
