2017’s J Awards were dominated by A.B. Original, Stella Donnelly, Jen Cloher and Client Liaison.

The 13th annual J Awards took place yesterday arvo, with Triple J celebrating Aussie musicians as a part of Aus Music Month.

Album of the year went deservedly to A.B. Original’s Reclaim Australia, beating out Alex Lahey and even Gang of Youths for the top spot. Music video of the year went to Client Liaison’s A Foreign Affair ft. Tina Arena, which was directed by Tim White. Elsewhere, Double J artist of the year went to Jen Cloher, a trailblazer of a woman in the music industry. And finally, Unearthed artist of the year – whose alumni includes the likes of Ball Park Music – went to Stella Donnelly of Perth, taking it out of the hands of Alex the Astronaut and Baker Boy.
