The band Sparks, featuring brothers Ron and Russell Mael, formed in 1967 and, sadly, most people have absolutely no clue who they are.

Super-fan Edgar Wright – you know, the bloke who gave us stuff like Shaun of the Dead and Baby Driver – hopes to change this a little with his new documentary on the enigmatic band, entitled The Sparks Brothers.

Hardly a hit machine – although their ace When I’m with You grazed Aussie charts back in 1980 – they have been incredibly influential, and are so much more than “that weird band with the bloke with the Hitler moustache”.

Great news is that we have a new trailer for it, as well as a release date. The Sparks Brothers will be in limited Australian release from June 24.
