The nominees for the 2021 ARIA Awards have arrived, and golly it brings a tear to the eye to see the incredible things our homegrown talent have crafted, honed, and birthed during the most difficult 12 months they’ve ever experienced.

“This time last year, who would’ve thought that some parts of the country would only now be making their way out of lockdown?” host Brooke Boney opened her monologue. She followed that sobering reminder with acknowledging the immense “joy, love and sadness” that the work from this year’s ARIA nominees represents.

Amy Shark and Genesis Owusu snagged the most nominations, with six each.

Read our interview with Amy Shark from earlier this year, all about her massive second album Cry Forever.

The ARIA Awards ceremony will be held in Sydney on November 24th, and will be aired live on YouTube and 9NOW.

Here are the nominees for the main 14 categories; get the full list of nominees at the ARIAs website, including details on how you can vote in the publicly-decided awards!
