Last week, Lil Nas X thanked everyone for their “lack of support” in helping the video for his smash hit Montero (Call Me By Your Name) get to the big one-and-six-zeroes dislikes on YouTube.

He’s not the only artist who’s hit the ‘million dislikes’ milestone, and in fact there is a music video with an even greater number of dislikes: Cardi B’s 2020 smash WAP, pooh-poohed by some for its saucy outfits, saucier choregraphy and max-spice lyrics (not to mention the appearance of Kylie Jenner).

However, when the dislike-to-view ratio is taken into account – which is the measure by which Uswitch have compiled this list of ‘Most Disliked Videos’ – the crown still goes to Lil Nas X. One in 50 views of Montero (Call Me By Your Name) ends up with a dislike, giving the clip a score of 2.6%.

Rounding out the top three is Childish Gambino’s This Is America, released in 2018, which met a ton of objection for its violent (though undeniably potent) visuals.
