Rather than chilling doing the TV marathon thing like many of us, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard have been busy this year creating.

They have two albums on their way, heralded by a new single that’s available right about now.

Working backwards, the single is entitled Automation, and in an admirable mood they’ve made available both the separated, raw audio files – or “stems” in producer talk – AND raw video footage, so that fans can do their own thing with them.

Automation is the fourth single from the upcoming album K.G., which is set to be let loose on November 20. It’s their 16th album to date… slackers!

K.G. won’t be hitting the big wide world all on its lonesome though, for it will be accompanied by another album release on the same day. This one will be a 13-track double, entitled Live in San Francisco ’16. Yes, it’s the King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard live experience luxuriating over two discs, recorded at The Independent in, you guessed it, 2016. It’ll also be easy to find even in a power outage, as it will come with a glow-in-the-dark cover. Shame you won’t be able to play it with no power, but hey – first world problems, right?

If you haven’t had the pleasure of the King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard live experience yet, take 90 minutes out of your day and get into this:
