As hilariously low-fi as the video for Ed Sheeran’s last clip was (read: really, really shoddy green screen effects), the new one – for Cross Me feat. Chance the Rapper and PnB Rock, the second single from upcoming album No. 6 Collaborations Project – boasts some extraordinary motion capture VFX.

Directed by Ryan Staake, the video focuses on contemporary dancer Courtney Scarr (who you may have seen in Katy Perry’s Never Really Over clip, or perhaps walking the runway for Gucci, Kanye’s Yeezy or Rihanna’s Fenty shows), whose lithe dance moves glitch into animations of Sheeran, Chance and PnB Rock warping in and out of various virtual realities.

No. 6 Collaborations Project by Ed Sheeran is out July 7 via Warner.
