The fourth Bon Iver studio album is on its way, and it’s sure to confuse search engines far and wide with it’s title of i,i.
However, the 13 new tracks on it are certain to delight fans of Justin Vernon’s musical project.
Apparently this marks the completion of a comma-infused cycle that began with the winter of For Emma, Forever Ago, continued with the spring of Bon Iver, Bon Iver and went on to the summer of 22, A Million. So, welcome to autumn with i,i!
“It feels very much like the most adult record, the most complete, says Vernon of the new album. “It feels like when you get through all this life, when the sun starts to set, and what happens is you start gaining perspective. And then you can put that perspective into more honest, generous work.”
You can listen to two new songs from i,i below, while waiting for the album to release on August 30.
