I Prevail TraumaMichigan metalcore four-piece I Prevail have just dropped their second studio album Trauma, and it may have made its way to your radar via the guys’ performance at Download Festival last month, or its top 5 possie on the iTunes chart, or maybe you heard single Breaking Down on triple j. But there hasn’t been a better insight into why this band have unified so many music fans than the just-released clip for single Hurricane.

Told from the perspective of clean singer Brian Burkheiser and using old footage from the band’s personal archives (read: iPhones), we’re taken through the highs (Brian’s first attempts at songwriting, how the bandmembers met, the group’s viral Taylor Swift cover, their debut EP reaching the top of the charts) and the lows (Brian’s vocal cord surgery, their bus [and all the gear on it] burning down on tour, the deaths of friends and the missing of loved ones), and how it’s all contributed to the new album.

Watch below, and head here to pick the album up on clear/magenta splatter vinyl or CD at JB.
