Remember when video clips were simple affairs? Then Duran Duran came along and made them big productions. Interpol have taken a leaf from their book with their clip for new single ‘The Rover’.
No, they haven’t headed to the wilds of Sri Lanka on a yacht laden with fluorescent drinks, but the Mexico-set mini-movie certainly brings the drama, as the band are stalked by a mysterious bloke during a press tour (for more about that, click here).
The clip has been directed by Gerardo Naranjo, who’s helmed episodes of Fear the Walking Dead and, perhaps more relevantly, Narcos, and stars Ebon Moss-Bachrach, who we last saw in The Punisher and Girls.
It’s the first single from Interpol’s upcoming sixth studio album Marauder, which is set for an August 24 release.
Inter-pol! Inter-pol! Inter-pol!
