The COVID thing may have played havoc with film and game releases, but musicians are made of stern stuff and we’ve had a steady of stream of great releases in defiance of the horror bug. Here are three more to look out for.
First up, going alphabetically, is ace Aussie punksters Amyl and the Sniffers. Their new long-player has been christened Comfort to Me, and is slated for release on September 10. A new taste of it has lobbed in the form of single Guided by Angels, and here it is:
The next cab off the new album alphabetical roundabout is Courtney Barnett. Her forthcoming new record is entitled Things Take Time, Take Time, and it’s set to hit on November 12. Here’s new single (and album opener) Rae Street:
Rounding out our round-up is Halsey. Her Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross produced If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power is down to arrive on August 27. Check out the rather elaborate unveiling of the album’s artwork at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art:
