Following on the nimble heels of similar events in Queensland and New South Wales, Victoria is set to get an absolutely stacked series of drive-in shows come next month featuring Lime Cordiale, Baker Boy, Alex Lahey and more – all organised by Untitled Group.

Conceived as a way to kick-start the country’s slumping live music scene while still respecting social distancing rules introduced in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, The Drive-In will see some of Australia’s top musical artists team up in pairs to perform each weekend from July 10, with movie and comedy programs also promised at later dates.

These shows will be held within the bowling lanes at Melbourne’s Flemington Racecourse; a raised festival stage, giant viewing screens, and parking grids will ensure all punters have primo viewing access. Complimentary tickets are being allocated to the Dylan Alcott Foundation to distribute to those with disabilities.

Having liaised extensively with health professionals, Untitled Group has developed event management plans with appropriate procedures and social distancing measures in place.

Presale tickets are up this Thursday 18 June @ 6pm AEST (sign up for those here), and general public goes on sale the following day at noon AEST. More info on that is on the events’ Facebook and Instagram pages.
